• Frosted glass: Frosted finishes usually make use of sandblasted glass, which offers an opaque surface that still transmits plenty of light. Frosted glass has a cloudy-white look, which is uniform across the pane. This makes it great for small bathroom windows where light is at a premium.
• Aquatex glass: If you choose aquatex glass you will get a texture resembling water, as the name suggests. You can have a rougher, more tactile aquatex pane, but each obscure the glass to a similar level. Rougher aquatex glass tends to be thicker, so it is useful for a front door.
• Satinlite glass: Satinlite glass resembles satin fabric, and is more of a decorative choice. It is a common etched glass design that offers a plain matte finish but lets in a lot of light. Etched glass can be quite a bit stronger than other panes as it becomes tempered during manufacturing.
• Reeded glass: Reeded glass looks like a row of reeds that are neatly packed together; they are usually very thin strips. This thin appearance makes them useful for long and narrow windows or doors as it creates an elongated appearance. However, reeded glass offers less of an opaque look.
