FENSA is a self certification scheme is to ensure that replacement windows that are fitted by window installation companies are energy efficient & comply with current building regulation requirements. The scheme applies to window fitting businesses and not windows that are fitted by the homeowners. It is applied to any window and most doors installed after April 1st 2002. Conservatories are exempt and also doors which have less than 50% of surface area covered by glass.
